Newborn Sessions

• My recommended booking time would be to book prior to baby's arrival. If baby has already arrived just check with me for availability! I may have availability for scheduling. I understand due dates are not always a guarantee, so scheduling the official appointment date will not be done until baby is born. Once I have received your booking retainer, I set you up in my calendar on the due date, (unless otherwise discussed!) and your spot for the session will be secured. 
• Once baby has officially arrived, you will just let me know and we will schedule your little one for their first photo shoot! I always make scheduling my top priority since we have such a small window to work with for photos. Photos being done within the first 12 days of life is always what I recommend, as it is best for poses and capturing the greatest amount of photos, but of course is not mandatory. If baby is past 4 weeks old, Session will be an all-wrapped & bundled milestone session.   
• Newborn sessions are only done Monday-Friday @ 6:30PM or Saturday mornings. 
• Once sessions have been booked, you should receive preparation guide for the session via email.
• Only necessary immediate family are allowed (parents & siblings [if any] of baby only) to attend the session. I have very limited space where I do my sessions & I want to be sure that the space remains comfortable for everyone.
• Photos with parents and siblings are always welcomed and are done at the beginning or end of the session (for those other little ones, keep in mind the session can take up to 2 hours, I know they aren't as patient as we are!) I only allow 20 minutes for parent and/or sibling photos, since it is primarily a newborn session.
• Set up areas for baby will have a constant warm temperature and will be kept warm, so baby remains comfortable throughout the session.
• I have materials and set ups ready when you arrive. Prior to session, I have all clients  review color and prop options and fill out a Newborn questionnaire form. 
• My usual setup is 3 fabric backdrop colors on my table set up and poses in/on 4 props (baskets, bucket, and bed depending on which you choose and what baby allows) 
• All fabrics and wraps are washed with Baby-safe Laundry detergent as soon as I purchase them, and after every time they are used in session. Cleanliness for baby is extremely important to me, and if you're like me who has a baby with extremely sensitive skin, this detail is important to you!
• If you are expecting multiples, please let me know as soon as you can what colors you'd like to use, even if your babies have not arrived yet, as I may have to purchase additional items to match what I have, since I am doing photos of multiples together! 
•  There is changing table area in my photo area where baby can be changed (and it is sanitized after every single use)
• I wash my hands before baby arrives and am constantly using hand sanitizer throughout the session so you know your baby is in clean hands. 
• I often use white noise, a baby shusher machine, & soothing techniques that I’ve been trained in to comfort & soothe baby. 
• Feedings can usually take place during the session, So brining any feeding materials to feed baby during session is required. If you're strictly breastfeeding only, that's always welcomed in my studio to feed your baby freely & if we need to stop for feedings at any point in the session, we will do so.
•  I will be the one who wraps, positions, and poses baby, patience is necessary for all sessions. If your assistance is needed, I will be sure to ask away! Baby’s comfort & safety is most important to me!
• Crying can sometimes happen & I want to assure you that that is completely normal & baby is not hurting, Baby sometimes cries for being moved during their sleep, I do not leave your baby crying, I will soothe, and comfort but If baby does not want to go in certain poses after a few attempts, I will move onto the next pose. 
• Once session has been done I will send you a gallery to your email with all of the unedited photos from the session, where you will select your 15-20 images. Once I have received your "favorites" chosen I will edit them, I do skin adjustments that include blemish removal, skin softening, jaundice correction, and redness removal. Your final edited images will be sent to you in 2 weeks.
